Picturesque small fishing village and cultural arts center with great restaurants, hiking, and boat tours. Very walkable. A must visit, if you're in the East! Bring your camera, the photo ops are endless!

This town is a bit over rated in my opinion.
This town is a bit over rated in my opinion. There is almost nothing there. The setting is nice, but we stayed in a town called Siglufjordur up north is much prettier and had a lot more to offer, so I would skip this one and head up there.

This is a great place to stay for a couple of days.
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days. The town is small but charming, and there a multiple day hikes close by. If you are doing the ring road, this might be a nice spot for two nights to rest up a bit. You might catch a glimpse of the Faroe Islands/Denmark Ferry that comes in once a week. Breakfast options are limited, however there is a little bakery in the supermarket that has wonderful fresh baked bread and goods.

This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location...
This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location between mountains and a fjord. Apart from the surrounding beauty, the town is tranquil (out of season) and very walkable. We understand that things heat up during the summer season. There are a handful of restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. During working hours the town suffers from strong fishy odors coming from the local fish processing factory.
In short, it is a must-see stop on any tour of Iceland.

Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village.
Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village. We ate at two of the restaurants and the food was delicious. We enjoyed a local hike. And being fans of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" we enjoyed seeing the filming locations in this town.

A small town of the beaten path that is just lovely.
A small town of the beaten path that is just lovely. Our only problem is that we didn't have enough time to explore the town and surrounding area. We would have added a second night if we had the chance to do it again.
This house was perfect for us. We where 4 guys on a hunting trip and we wanted to be able to come and leave as we like and also be able to cook for ourself on the barbecue and use the hot tub. All this is just perfect in Langahlíð. The distance from Seyðisfjörður is very decent and the spaces between cabins are very good.
The staff was very very helpful. The came and checked on us and switched out the gas for us on the barbecue and gave us extra tissue in no time. Very helpful and friendly.
View and location is amazing - if you can, take one of the 2nd floor rooms overlooking the water (note, no elevator). Room is big and very nicely decorated, in a renovated wooden house. Location is quiet, but next door to a few restaurants (breakfast is available at a hotel down the street). We loved everything, especially the magical view from the balcony!
Hotel is located in a beautiful Fjord town, in a historic former Post office building. Breakfast at their cafe was excellent, from the choice of food, it's quality to the price/value equation. There aren't many alternatives anyway but it's surely the best place to have breakfast. Free parking was right in front of the hotel and wifi speed was good.
We had a great stay in our very comfortable and nicely decorated room in this old and beautiful ex-bank building. Extra plus for the small fridge in our room. You park the car just outside the house. It is but a minute or two by foot to the restaurants and harbour in this small town. We got good instructions beforehand about the check-in etc.
Great location just in front of the fiord. Great Hotel concept which is based in the occupation of several historic buildings in a wonderful and well preserved village located in a wonderful set.
Breakfast (not included) really worths the price.
An excellent value for money.
Oh my goodness the view. And the sound of waterfalls all around. What a beautiful setting, and a quick walk to Seyðisfjörður for groceries and dining. This is the one place we stayed in Iceland that makes us want to return and stay a month! It was also nice to have a grill.
Lovely place to stay. Everything there you would need. Veru comfortable in every way. Beds and bedding great, fab shower. Location perfect and Seyðisfjörður utterly charming. We will definitely try and book this apartment again when next in Seyðisfjörður.
Absolutely fantastic hotel. Beautiful rooms. Had one with balcony facing the lagoon. They allowed us to stay until we could get into the boat at 4 pm. Recommend staying here. 10 out of 10. Great location. Near all shops.
The apartment is very cozy and the studio had been prepared in a stylish manner. The house is near a beautiful waterfall with an hiking path nearby. Room is clean and the heater in the bathroom make it very comfortable.
This was prob my fav little town in all of Iceland. Just a magical little place. We at ate El Grillo which was equally as amazing. The décor at The Bank was excellent and so was our room. Do not skip this town or hotel!
I really liked how spacious and affordable the home was. The host was accommodating and made my friend and I feel really at home during our stay. Highly recommend this cute home when traveling to Seyðisfjörður Iceland
Really good location in an old building full of character, in what is without a doubt one of the most beautiful town in Iceland. What a delight it was to wake up to a direct view of the surrounding mountains.
Very spacious, very clean, well-furnished and very comfortable, good bed, kitchen with table and chairs, quiet. Single detached unit, but more reasonably-priced than the hotels in town. Beautiful small town.
Very good location, excellent and very comfortable place.
The welcome chocolate from the house owner was a very nice gift . If I come back to Iceland I will definitely visit this place again.
Style of the hotel as an old hospital.
Great and functional kitchen. Facilities to store and prepare your own food.
Clean rooms.
Lots of parking places.
Shops in walking distance.
Just rent this place if it’s available. The place is just outstanding and the town is one of the cutest towns in Iceland. We wished we could’ve spent more time in this place.
Room was very good. Beds are so comfortable.
Kitchen in the room is also good with all required utensils.
Apartment location in Seyðisfjörður is very good
